Cellulite, cottage cheese thighs, hail damage. It’s not only an unpleasant topic but it’s also an unpleasant site. But what is cellulite? How can you prevent cellulite? Although the name is different, cellulite is just a different term for fat. To be more specific, cellulite pieces of fat that are right below the skin. It usually occurs in the thighs, butt and legs and in some cases even in the back of the arms. There are some steps that you can take to reduce and prevent cellulite.

How To Reduce and Prevent Cellulite

The first step to reducing cellulite is evaluating your life and what factors may be causing it. Cellulite can be cause by many factors such as:

  • Toxins
  • Poor diet
  • Genetics
  • Lifestyle

Poor diet and poor lifestyle choices play a big role in the formation of cellulite due to greasy foods, junk food, heavy sugar intake. Sugar is one of the biggest factors in obesity and since cellulite is fat there is no doubt that sugar is contributing to cellulite. Consuming the correct foods and making the necessary lifestyle changes can give you noticeable results.

Fruits

Fruits are a natural resource that you can use to fight off and prevent cellulite. Fresh fruits contain alkaline which is the key to preventing cellulite. Alkalinity acts as a magnet to the toxins and the fats that are right below the skin therefore reducing the cellulite.

Vegetables

Vegetables contain the same resource as fruits. However, it is recommended that you eat more vegetables than fruits because fruits tend to have high amounts of sugar if eaten in large amounts. Detoxifying your body to prevent cellulite should absolutely have a mixture of fruits as well as vegetables. Just focus more on vegetables to keep your sugar intake at a healthy level to make this treatment more effective.

Water

Water is one of our bodies most needed elements as water hydrates our skin, fuels our metabolism and removes toxins through urination and sweat. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated helps to remove toxins that the alkaline from fruits and vegetables has extracted. If you don’t stay hydrated then the toxins and fats will just recirculate back to where they were.

Sweating

As the alkaline from fruits and vegetables extracts the fat and toxins from underneath the skin, water is used to remove those toxins to then expel. Causing your body to sweats increases the end process to expel the toxins. Sweating also increases your heart rate which increases the amount of calories you burn.

Taking good care of your skin is also an important factor for treating cellulite. Read some of our skin care tips here: 4 Skin Care Tips For Beautiful Skin to help you with your cellulite battle.
