Bridal Makeup: Look Perfect On Your Perfect Day!

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png

Getting married this year?! First off, congratulations! Now, for the stress of planning the wedding – but no need to fret, we have all the hot bridal looks for this year summed up in one article for you. Bridal makeup trends have сhаngеd dramatically in thе past fеw уеаrѕ. Get your bride’s look nailed down before that summer-time wedding is here!

What bridal makeup trеndѕ are оn the hоrіzоn for 2017 and bеуоnd?

A сlаѕѕіс, сlеаn fасе will аlwауѕ be оn thе fоrеfrоnt оf bridal makeup, but the uрсоmіng trеndѕ suggest bold mаttе lір colors оn a nеutrаl face. Fаux lаѕhеѕ aren’t going away аnуtіmе soon either!

What mаkеuр trends are totally out?

Skіnnу eyebrows, роіgnаntlу lіnеd аnd ѕuреr glоѕѕу lірѕ аѕ well аѕ heavily lined еуеѕ аrе оvеr and done with.

What makeup trends are ending?

I’m hоріng thаt contouring and hіghlіghtіng wіll pack their bаgѕ аnd hіt the rоаd, but wе shouldn’t hold оur brеаthѕ fоr 2017!

What dо you recommend to brides who aren’t sure аbоut thе lооk thеу wаnt?

Mу аdvісе to unѕurе brіdеѕ is to go with аn uрgrаdеd version of thеіr everyday look. If a brіdе wеаrѕ barely аnу makeup as hеr еvеrуdау look, I wіll always ѕuggеѕt a vеrу natural look to her оvеrаll makeup with small uрgrаdеѕ ѕuсh аѕ lаѕhеѕ or mоrе color tо hеr lірѕ for thе bіg dау.

Whаt аrе the mоѕt important mаkеuр аrеаѕ?

Eуеѕ are a сruсіаl раrt оf a bride’s оvеrаll lооk. Tоо muсh оr a wrоng execution оf thе еуеѕ саn change еvеrуthіng!

Hоw dо уоu feel about fаlѕе еуеlаѕhеѕ?

Fаux lashes аrе grеаt for thе right person. Thе іmроrtаnсе оf choosing a nаturаl looking ѕеt of lаѕhеѕ саn mаkе оr brеаk thе option of wеаrіng them.

Whаt аrе уоur thrее fаvоrіtе mаkеuр рrоduсtѕ?

My thrее favorite products right now are:

  1. Rubу Wоо by Mac: Thіѕ blue-based bold mаttе rеd lip соlоr іѕ a fіt for аlmоѕt every ѕkіn соlоr аnd tоnе.
  2. Tеddу bу Mас: A brоnzе-tоnеd еуеlіnеr thаt аddѕ juѕt the right аmоunt оf ѕhіmmеr tо the еуеѕ; іt’ѕ ѕubtlе еnоugh for еvеrуdау uѕе.
  3. Bаrе Minerals Mаttе Powder Foundation: This foundation gіvеѕ a flawless and natural lооk tо thе ѕkіn. It lооkѕ lіkе you аrе wеаrіng nothing but fаbulоuѕ-lооkіng skin.

Is it іmроrtаnt to choose thе hаіrѕtуlе оr the bridal makeup first?

Aѕ a hairstylist, I wоuld say thаt hаіr соmеѕ fіrѕt. Makeup рullѕ еvеrуthіng together.

Whаt wоuld уоu say іѕ a сlаѕѕіс, timeless lооk?

A classic look wоuld соnѕіѕt оf softly curled hаіr (up or down), a сlеаn nаturаl fасе wіth a ѕmаll amount оf bluѕh for соlоr, blасk еуеlіnеr, аnd a rоѕу lір.

Whаt are thе bіggеѕt mіѕtаkеѕ brіdеѕ mаkе whеn сhооѕіng аnd аррlуіng makeup?

Among the many mіѕtаkеѕ that саn bе mаdе wіth mаkеuр, ѕеlесtіng the wrong tone fоr the fоundаtіоn hаѕ tо be іn thе tор thrее. It is іmреrаtіvе to gеt thе tone rіght tо have a seamless, more natural lооk. Having the face and nесk be tоtаllу different tоnеѕ won’t look so great in those wedding photos!

MAJOR Bridal Makeup Trеndѕ of 2017

While Bridal Fаѕhіоn Wееk mау provide us with wedding gown Pіntеrеѕt fоddеr for days, lеt’ѕ nоt forget about thе drеаmу beauty lооkѕ it оffеrѕ аѕ well! And wіth shows ѕuсh as Lеlа Rоѕе, Alfrеd Angеlо аnd Mаrсhеѕа already bеhіnd uѕ, wе know one thing’s fоr сеrtаіn: You dоn’t nееd tо wаіt untіl Fаll 2017 tо mimic thеѕе stunning wedding bеаutу lооkѕ.

Sасhіn & Bаbі

Twо bіg trеndѕ converge for this ladylike look: ріnk еуеѕhаdоw and monochromatic mаkеuр. Bу mаtсhіng your lids аnd lips wіth ѕіmіlаr ѕhаdеѕ of pastel pink, you are сrеаtіng a dеmurе tоnе thаt іѕ rounded оut with full, уоuthful brоwѕ аnd a glowy соmрlеxіоn. Start a glоw-іnduсіng ѕkіnсаrе routine аnd lеttіng уоur brоwѕ grоw іn fullеr tоdау!

Mаrсhеѕа

If уоu havе еvеr thought аbоut giving thе flоwеr сrоwn trеnd a little added glаmоr, thе gеnіuѕеѕ bеhіnd Mаrсhеѕа’ѕ lооk rеаd уоur mіnd. By giving уоur hаіr аdоrnmеnt ѕtruсturе іn thе fоrm of реаrlѕ, crystals, аnd рrесіоuѕ mеtаl, you ѕtіll gеt that floral vіbе, but with muсh mоrе роlіѕh. Wе also can’t lооk away frоm thе mоdеlѕ’ реаrlу іnnеr-еуеѕ. Wеt аn аnglеd bruѕh аnd thеn dір it іntо a ѕhіmmеrу whіtе оr рlаtіnum-соlоrеd shadow tо get the еffесt.

Alfred Angеlо

Clаѕѕіс glamor wіth a mоdеrn twіѕt was thе nаmе of thе bеаutу gаmе at Alfred Angеlо. How exactly wаѕ іt accomplished? Make ѕurе your rеd lірѕtісk hаѕ оrаngе undеrtоnеѕ аnd a ѕеmі-mаttе finish, make уоur cat-eye flісk ѕо thіn іt’ѕ almost geometric, аnd of course hіghlіght, hіghlіght, highlight.

Thеіа

Oh, happy dау! Thе оutdооr, boho-inspired wеddіng оf уоur dreams іѕn’t gоіng оut of ѕtуlе аnуtіmе soon, and Thеіа’ѕ ѕhоw mаdе thаt ԛuіtе clear. Sіmрlу uрdаtе those surfer gіrl tеndrіlѕ bу adding a hеаlthу dose оf volume (thе nеw bоhо wave), and make sure уоur flower сrоwn іѕ one-part flower сrоwn аnd оnе-раrt mеrmаіd сrоwn by integrating pearls, ѕhеllѕ аnd ѕеа stars іntо thе flоrаlѕ.

Mаrk Zunino for Kleinfeld

Anyone whо ѕuggеѕtѕ thаt brіdеѕ can’t be utterly аu courant whеn it comes to bеаutу needs to check оut thіѕ ѕhоw! Pіnk еуеѕhаdоw is ѕtісkіng аrоund аѕ a trеnd іn a big wау, аnd brides can embrace it right аlоng wіth thе rest of thе wоrld. Twо bіg tірѕ: Keep уоur eye drops hаndу so there isn’t a hint оf rеdnеѕѕ іn уоur rеаl еуеѕ (nо mаttеr hоw much celebrating you’ve bееn dоіng) and kеер thе rеѕt of уоur mаkеuр ѕubtlе ѕо thаt thе eyes саn ѕhіnе.

Rіmе Arоdаkу

If your wеddіng dау іѕ аll аbоut fаntаѕу, thеn реrhарѕ уоur nuptial mаkеuр ѕhоuld be, аѕ wеll! Thаt іѕ thе strong mеѕѕаgе frоm Rіmе Arоdаkу’ѕ runwау, аnd wе love it. Take your highlighting gаmе to all nеw lеvеlѕ аnd mаkе уоur lids and сhееkbоnеѕ take оn a hіgh-wаttаgе shine. Wе ѕuggеѕt layering hіghlіghtеrѕ to асhіеvе this. So thіnk about uѕіng your cream stick, уоur роwdеr аnd your lіԛuіd formula аt thе same time (we gеt giddy just thinking аbоut іt!).

Top 7 Nutrients for Hair Growth

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png

Next to having clear skin, most people would like to have a head full of hair. There is nothing worse than losing hair in the prime of one’s life. Hair loss can make a person look at lot older than their true age. So how can you maintain your hair, prevent thinning and keep or increase volume? The first thing to understand is that hair loss is part of aging and we have not yet solved how to prevent aging, so the next best thing is to eat right. In general, people who tend to eat a healthy diet retain their hair much longer than those who eat junk food. Check out the top 7 nutrients to promote hair growth!

Nutrients That Promote Hair Growth:

PROTEIN

Eat ample protein. Since hair is made of protein you need to eat foods that are protein-rich. Lack of protein in the diet can make the hair brittle and dry. Some of the high-protein foods include meat, chicken seafood, low-fat dairy, eggs legumes and all types of nuts.

IRON

One very important mineral required for hair growth is iron. Individuals who have iron deficiency often have marked premature hair loss.  So it is important to eat foods that contain iron. This means eating meat, fish, and chicken. In addition, most green leafy vegetables, including spinach, kale, broccoli, asparagus, and lentils also contain high levels of iron.

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is essential for the growth of hair; it keeps the hair strong, shiny and long lasting. People who do not have adequate levels of vitamin C often develop premature hair loss.  Vitamin C is also essential for absorption of iron from the stomach. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and is a requirement for synthesis of collagen. It also helps prevent damage to the hair from the extreme environmental conditions and other ingested toxins. To get adequate vitamin C, eat fruits and vegetables. Almost all fruits contain vitamin C.

OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS

Omega-3 fatty acids are also a requirement for healthy hair growth. Individuals who do not get adequate omega 3 fatty acids often have dull looking hair which easily falls off. Omega 3 fatty acids are found in high levels in low-fat dairy, seafood (especially fish), cereals and all types of nuts.

VITAMIN A & E

Vitamins A & E are both essential for hair growth. Vitamin A helps nourish the hair with sebum and ensures continual moisturizing of the hair. Without the sebum, the hair would be brittle, dry and prone to breakages. Vitamin A is available in most animal foods and brightly colored vegetables such as carrots, beets, and sweet potatoes. Vitamin E acts like an antioxidant and protects hair against the UV rays of the sun. You can also find Vitamin E in food like nuts, cereals, and whole grains.

ZINC & SELENIUM

These two other minerals are easily forgotten, but are also equally essential for hair growth. The absence of zinc in the diet can lead to an itchy scalp, loss of hair and severe dryness. Similarly, selenium is a co-factor for normal growth of hair. These two minerals are available from meat, seafood and vegetable diets.

BIOTIN

Jumped on the biotin bandwagon, yet? Biotin is water-soluble vitamin B and essential for proper growth of hair. Without biotin, hair is often brittle and prone to breakage. Biotin can be obtained from eggs, whole grains, liver, soy flour, and yeast.

So, What Now?

One has to be realistic about food and hair growth. Just eating a healthy diet is often not enough to maintain a scalp full of hair. Quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol and avoiding use of abrasive hair treatments help tremendously. And as a last note, don’t dye your hair! This can cause damage and also slows down growth and cuts down hair thickness and volume. If you must dye your hair, try to keep to darker colors as color-stripping is the most damaging. Following these tips will help you keep a dense growth of hair way past middle age.

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler’s Ultimate Dream Vacation

http://hbnewsnetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Banner-Final-1-1.png

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation
I’m sure you’ve all probably heard of Bali, Indonesia; perhaps through the movie Eat Pray Love. But did you know that Bali is just one of over 17,000 islands in Indonesia; the fourth most populous country in the world and has over 300 spoken languages? So theoretically if you tried to see a new island every day, it would take roughly 50 years to physically visit every single island. Indonesia boasts magnificent temples, stunning active volcanoes, idyllic stretches of beach, the fearsome Komodo dragon, and even the orangutan. It has vast and varying cultures, delicious cuisine, and some of the friendliest, most accommodating people in the world. Feeling like an adventure yet? In this article, I will cover some of the more popular islands in Indonesia, top attractions, and some of my personal favorites. You’ll quickly see why I continue to return time and time again to this stunning country.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali will always hold a special place in my heart. I recently spent two months in Canggu, Bali, working and exploring the beautiful island. The Balinese are incredibly friendly people, who are quick to invite you in and make you feel welcomed. Bali is predominately a Hindu island, where shrines are attached to every building, house, and restaurant; offerings are something you will inevitably step on as you enter in to get a massage or bite to eat.

Kuta

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Kuta

Kuta is one of the most popular area’s of Bali, full of tourists, backpackers, and party goers. There are endless souvenir stands, massage shops, scooter rentals, restaurants, bars, and clubs. You’ll be at no shortage of entertainment here, and if you like to party, then the nightlife is booming. For less than $10 you can get dinner and unlimited drinks at one of the most iconic bars in Kuta: Sky Bar. I personally try to stay away from Kuta, and instead make my way north to Ubud!

Ubud

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Ubud

Ubud is a yogi’s paradise. This laid back town is full of people looking to practice yoga, meditation and really anything that will get them closer to a spiritual awakening. Enjoy an array of local and western food; heavy on the healthy, organic, vegan side. Travel to monkey forest, where for about $3 you can feed a monkey, and even hold one if they’ll let you! Take a coffee tour, to discover how coffee is made, along with a free coffee and tea tasting of over 10 different flavors. Try the Luwak coffee: coffee sourced from the poop of the Luwak animal, it is considered the most expensive coffee in the world. Don’t be deterred by how it is produced; Luwak coffee is one of the best coffees you’ll ever taste.

Mt. Batur

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Mt. Batur

If you’ve ever wanted to climb an active volcano, now is your chance! Mt. Batur is one of the most popular active volcanoes to hike in Indonesia, and don’t worry, the last eruption was in 2000, so you should be fine for a few more thousand years. The best time to go is for the sunrise. You leave around 4 am in the morning, and the hike takes approximately two hours. Challenging as it may be, the view from the stop will make it all worth it. After you descend back down, grab a beer at one of the many natural hot springs next to Lake Danau Batur and take in the view around you.

Java, Indonesia

By far my favorite island in Indonesia, Java is an island very near it’s neighbor, Bali. Predominately a Muslim island, (as is the majority of Indonesia) you will definitely have to dress a bit more modestly here. Still, the people are just as friendly, and the landscape and various temples are breathtaking.

Kawah Ijen

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Kawah Ijen

Don’t miss this volcano! It has yet to make it into Lonely Planet, although I have no idea why. It is one of the most unique experiences in all of Indonesia. What makes this active volcano so different to the others? The blue fire. Kawah Ijen, or “Gunung Merapi” meaning mountain of fire, is a sulfuric crater volcano. You have to make this hike to the peak during the middle of the night, so you can fully experience the electric blue flame of Kawah Ijen.

Gunung Bromo

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Gunung Bromo

One of the most famous and most frequently visited volcanoes in Java is Bromo. Yet another active volcano, Bromo is just one of three volcanoes located in the mountain town of Cemoro Lawang. Bring a jacket and some long pants if you want to hike this volcano- with an altitude of 656 feet above sea level, Bromo is a bit cooler compared to the stifling heat experienced in much of Indonesia.

Borobudur

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Borobudur

Located in central Java, Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple not only in Indonesia but the world. Built in the 9th century during the Sailendra Dynasty, Borobudur is created with the intention of attaining Nirvana. As you climb the steep steps to the top, you are forced to look down, so as not to trip. This is an intentional design, with the intention of creating a sense of prayer to Buddha by those who make the climb to the top. Take a photo with one of the over 500 Buddha statues, and explore the many levels of this stunning temple.

Komodo Island, Indonesia

For all you dinosaur fans out there, Komodo Island is just the place to get your Jurassic Park fix. Home to the prehistoric man-eating komodo dragon, Komodo island is accessible by boat, but don’t let this deter you; this small island in Indonesia is a must see.

The Komodo Dragon

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Komodo Dragon

Of course many flock here to witness firsthand the fearsome komodo dragon. The dragon, or monitor lizard, is the largest lizard in the world, growing up to 10 feet in length! A carnivorous reptile, the dragon feeds predominately on deer but will attack any animal that wanders into its path if it is hungry enough. Although generally a very sedentary animal, these dragon’s have been known to attack and even kill humans. But you’ll be completely fine as long as you stay smart, and travel with a guide or with a group of people.

Pink Beach

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Pink Beach

Komodo island is home to one of the only pink sand beaches in the world. The pink sand comes from the microscopics animals called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment. This pigment is found on local coral reefs, and as it breaks off, the red color mixes with the white sand and voila! Take a dip in the crystal clear turquoise waters and enjoy the picturesque landscape surrounding you.

Gili Islands, Indonesia

The Gili Island’s are a set of three small desert islands located off the coast of Bali. These island’s don’t permit any scooters, and certainly no cars; the main modes of transportation are bicycles, or Cidoos (horse and cart). These islands are the perfect place to relax, unwind, grab a pina colada and enjoy some time in paradise.

Gili Trawangan (Gili T)

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Gili T

This is the largest of the three islands, although you can walk around the entire island in around two hours. By day enjoy snorkeling along the white sandy beaches, or even try your hand at scuba diving. By night get ready to party! Gili T is full of bars, with a different event on every night of the week. Buckets are a popular choice of drink here, consisting of liquor and mixers, but drink slowly; they are stronger than you think!

Gili Meno

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Gili Meno

This is the perfect romantic couples retreat. Gili Meno, the smallest of the three islands, is truly a picture perfect honeymooners destination, but be aware that it really is full of lovestruck couples. If you are traveling as a couple, or in a group then I would recommend this island for its white sandy beaches, clear waters and excellent snorkeling. However, if you’re traveling alone then perhaps it is a destination to visit another time.

Gili Air

Exploring Indonesia: A Budget Traveler's Ultimate Dream Vacation Gili Air

Last but not least, Gili Air is a bit of a mix of the other two Gili islands. There are places to party at night, but in general, it has a much more chilled out, hippy vibe. During the day grab some snorkeling gear and hit the water, bask in the sun with a cold Bintang beer, or explore the tiny island. By night head to a beachside restaurant for some fresh seafood and relax at one of the bars with all the new friends you’re bound to meet here.

I hope this article inspires some of you to book a flight to Indonesia; just writing this makes me crave returning. It really is an experience not to be missed, and the best part is knowing that the flight costs will be your most expensive investment. Once you’re in Indonesia the cost of actually traveling around the country is dirt cheap. A local meal costs anywhere from $1-3 dollars, accommodation is usually under $10, and a bus trip or boat trip will cost less than $15. Indonesia is a country with a bargaining culture, so bargain everything. I’ve bargained for my prices at hotels, street food stalls, fruit stands, and even pharmacies. Literally, almost every price is negotiable. If you master this skill, then you won’t have any problems traveling cheap. So stop spending your money on expensive restaurants and nights out, and start saving for your trip to Indonesia!

You’re so close! Why not spend a year abroad working in Australia?

10 Step East Asian Skincare Routine

http://hbnewsnetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/10-Step-East-Asian-Skincare-Routine.png

10 Step East Asian Skincare Routine
2016 has been the year of Korean and Japanese beauty for skincare. Countless international brands have attempted to dip their feet in, and although some battles over a space on Sephora’s counters were successful, the war was won at the hands of East Asia. Korea and Japan have been successfully infiltrating Western pop culture for as long as we can remember; be it at the hands of K-Pop or Anime’s finest. But never has a success been so great than its recent influence on the beauty arena. Every time you pop onto Instagram, you’re guaranteed to come across some video of a makeup artist testing out a new Korean beauty fad.

The strange ways of East Asian skincare have taken the beauty world by storm: with East Asian beauty brands becoming household names as well as coming to fill the spots as some of the most luxurious skin care Sephora has to offer.  While worshipping at the shrine of their products, not many of us are actually aware of how they were made to be used. It’s rare to find a non-East Asian that practices, let alone knows of the elusive 10 step skincare routine.

10 Step East Asian Skincare Routine

Did I lose you at 10 steps? Well, bear with me because this lengthy process is what East Asians owe their clear, glowing skin to. We’re all victims of envying the youthful almost-photo shopped-looking skin that most East Asians flaunt. We’re better accustomed to the clear signs of aging and the look of what years of pimple-popping can do to a woman. So what’s their secret? Oh, nothing much, just a strict 10 step routine to be followed daily- one that most young Koreans begin to practice at the ripe age of 12. But do we, the avid supporters of the quick wash and moisturize every night, stand a fighting chance? Let’s see what it takes to glow like there’s no tomorrow. Better late than never, right? *fingers crossed*

The Double Cleanse (First 2 steps)

10 Step East Asian Skincare Routine The Double Cleanse

The beginning is simple enough; remove your makeup. Excluding the rare lazy night or spontaneous staying the night at a friend’s place, we’re mostly strict with removing our makeup even if only with a cleansing wipe. The East Asians are much less forgiving. The first two steps to both Japanese and Korean skincare routines is a double cleansing. Double cleansing is the process where you first remove your makeup thoroughly and then proceed to cleanse your skin after that.

The best way to wrap your mind around the hassle of two cleanses is to consider your makeup routine. The 30 minutes most of us devote to applying our makeup involves many layers and steps. So why is it that when it comes to removal, we only give it the bare minimum time and a single step? What we have done, needs to be undone with the same precision. This mantra will get you through the first two steps patiently enough.

The double cleansing steps have very strict techniques; it is preferred that the first cleanse be done using an oil based cleanser or a balm. The Korean skin care market is filled with tons of cleansing balm options to choose from. The second cleanse differs between the two nations. Koreans recommend and prefer using a water-based cleanser; this is seen as a more hydrating and less harsh way to remove the remaining impurities. However, the Japanese stick to a foaming cleanser to help really extract the dirt and leave your skin with a matte feel.

It is at this step that we see the prime foundational difference between Japanese and Korean skincare preferences; the Koreans aim and purpose of this all is to achieve a dewy glowy skin finish, whereas the Japanese are more focused on matte skin. These differing notions of beauty can be subtly noticed with the choices within each step- although the steps are the same.

Brighten and Smoothen

10 Step East Asian Skincare Routine Brighten and Smoothen

Exfoliation is key to the East Asian skincare routine. This step is only included once or twice a week to avoid stripping your skin completely. This is probably one of the more enjoyable steps of the routine; partly because it feels good to rub away your dead skin cells, but mostly because it yields the most instant results. Now, the exfoliation can either be in the form of chemical or physical. Coming in liquid form or pre-soaked pads, a chemical exfoliator contains acids that exfoliate the skin chemically.

Whereas alternatively, you could use a physical exfoliator, which contains rough pieces comparable to sand that physically slough off your dead skin cells. Your skin will feel baby-butt soft regardless. For more sensitive or breakout-prone skin it’s always wiser to avoid the physical exfoliators because they can be too harsh and leave you with bright red skin! This step works to reveal brighter and smoother skin and ensure that the rest of the steps work to their best potential and that your skin drinks them up like a cool iced tea on a summer’s day.

Toning

The fourth step is the final prep for the rest of the products. After clearing your skin of all debris and pollution, and then rubbing off your dead skin cells, toning is the step that finally preps your skin for what is to come. A toner comes as a spray or a water base which you apply to a cotton pad. This is a seriously important step because it restores your skin’s pH balance. All that cleansing leaves your skin feeling stripped- this helps remedy that. This restores the hydration your skin naturally requires and prepares it to absorb the following steps to its best ability. Fun tip: it’s often recommended to take this step and those that follow, down your neck as well to prevent aging and sagging.

The Essence of Skincare

Prior to this, most of the steps are likely to have sounded familiar. The concept of an Essence is unique and particular to East Asian skincare. This addition is taken very seriously and considered one of the most important steps. An essence is essentially a more lightweight serum. It comes in a similar form to a toner, although the application is entirely different. Patt essences into your skin with your hands; here‎’s your opening to gently pat your face and live out your inner-beauty-ad fantasy. The main purpose of this step is hydration and rejuvenation. An Essence also works to restore the skin’s pH balance, with the added benefit of hydrating and soothing your skin to further the absorption of the following steps.

Easy as A, B, S (Ampoules, Boosters, and Serums)

This is where it gets personal. One of the most highly concentrate products throughout the routine are Ampoules, Boosters, and Serums. This is where you can personalize according to your own skin issues; whether it be redness or acne or dullness. This is the part where you can most heavily treat those problem areas. Tapping it in is key yet again, so you might want to make sure your hands are clean between steps to avoid the mixing of products. A serum is another one of the most potent doses of treatment you’re going to get, so this is definitely the step to splurge on!

Scary Sheet Mask Selfie Op

Sheet masks have been one of the greatest beauty fads we’ve witnessed in ages. At first, everyone just wanted in on the funny scary selfies with a white piece of tissue placed on your face. But as they grew more and more infamous, people began to truly value the results they give. A sheet mask gives you the most intense and instant dose of whatever you need; similar to Serums. The added benefit of the spa-like feel doesn’t hurt either! Sheet masks are easily one of the most successful ways that East Asian skincare has infiltrated our homes!

All About The Eyes

We’re getting closer to the finish line! It’s time to care for the most delicate and sensitive part of our skin- our under-eyes. Our under-eyes show the earliest signs of aging and can instantly show signs of exhaustion. It is vital that we treat them regularly to avoid any long-term as well as short-term damage. Apply this step with delicacy and care; strictly use only your ring finger and use a gentle tapping motion. Avoid rubbing at any and all costs!

Set Your Hard Work in Place

Almost there. All your hard work can go amiss without this second to last step. Applying a face cream/moisturizer of some sort is a necessary step to lock in moisture and all the work that’s just been done. Moisturizers can also be personalized to your needs. For example, while Koreans opt for more hydrating and glow-inducing moisturizers, Japanese skincare prefers mattifying creams. This step is important both day and night. During the day, it works as a perfect base for your makeup to ensure its smooth application and longevity. At night, keep your skin hydrated as it absorbs all the previous steps while you get some shut-eye!

Protect Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself!

Now, this final step is only for the morning. There’s no better step we can take to prevent aging than applying SPF daily. We never truly realize how much damage the sun does, and we definitely never realize how little protection an SPF-infused makeup product can give. It’s imperative to start applying SPF every day religiously as early as possible to prevent aging and dark spots and the millions of baddies that come along with a lack of SPF!

*Drumroll* We made it! Now the question is, will we make it in practice? Time-consuming, definitely, but these 10 steps give such serious payoff that it’s worth attempting. We’re halfway there with the sheet mask obsession, so why not give the whole thing a chance? When in the era of East Asian skincare…

Get The Look: Liquid Lipstick

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png

Liquid Lipstick has become a staple in every girl’s makeup bag. Apart from the adding luscious color to the mouth, it also protects the lips. A typical lipstick contains pigments, oils, waxes, and emollients that apply color to the lips.

What is Liquid Lipstick?!

Typical lipstick tubes are starting to disappear in favor of liquid versions. A liquid lipstick is a special type of lipstick that looks like a gloss but dries into a lipstick texture. After drying, it looks like a matte or glossy lipstick formulation. Liquid lipstick can be slightly more difficult to apply than a tube kind. So, this is to note that correction of any mistake during application should be fast because once it gets dried, it stays and it may be difficult to correct.

Try a gorgeous pink lipstick in the spring for a pop of color, like the Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick in Bellissima pale neutral pink which you can pick up at Sephora for $28. Going out for a night on the town? Dark colors look amazing when dressing up, or if you’re aiming for a more formal look. Try the Damned from Kat Von D, which is very dark, with a deep black cherry color!  Swipe on Lolita I from Kat Von D for $20 – this is my newest favorite color! The Lolita isn’t too dark to wear during the day for typical outings, but I also can dress it up for a stylish look. Try different matte colors and glossy looks for different occasions, and to find what is best for your lip and facial shape. Check out some of our tips below for applying for favorite lipsticks.

Tips For Application

  • It is good to remove dead skin from your lips before applying a liquid lipstick. This is to avoid the crack skin to be pronounced after the liquid lipstick gets dried up on the lips.
  • After removing the dead skin, apply a moisturizer on the lips. Common Vaseline is great, or even try coconut oil, which moisturizes for longer
  • Want more definition? Try lip liner to create a shape on your lips. You can style the boundary of your lipstick with the lip liner
  • Don’t ever sleep with makeup or lipstick on. Use a very good makeup remover to remove it before going to bed
  • When using glossy liquid lipstick, a little goes a long way!
  • Have patience to get the look you want! You’ll be turning heads when you do!

Cow milk bath bombs are good for people with normal or dry skin. They are capable of moisturizing the skin. Buying the ones with cow milk as an ingredient will definitely add some therapeutic qualities to your bathing experience. In addition, along with the other ingredients, these products will help in providing the necessary minerals and nutrients required by the skin.

Goat Milk

Goat milk is thicker than cow milk so buying the ones with goat milk is way more beneficial for those with sensitive or dry skin. The minerals present in it can be absorbed through your skin easily. It can prove to be a natural supplement for a healthier glow.

Milk and Honey

Milk and honey, both are natural ingredients known for being highly beneficial for the skin in a number of ways. The combination works well in these products too. Milk and honey combined are best for people with sensitive or harsh skin. Check out this oatmeal bath bomb on Etsy, made of crushed oats, goat milk and honey. However, if you want to find all the best bath bombs products, you should always shop on the web. You’ll have access to a much larger range of products and will even have access to overseas products which makes it even more exciting. And There Are Vegan Milk Ones!:

This bar is made of cocoa butter, soy milk, and olive oil. It leaves you with silky soft feeling skin, and a “delicate scent of orange oil”. You can get this one at your local Lush store or online for $7.95.
